A fantastic little gadget has hit luggage.co.nz this week! Our range of Tile Trackers has taken luggage security and traceability to new heights. If you’re like me and a little bit of a nervous traveller then this little gem will change your life!

Tile connects to your mobile and via the Official Tile App, allowing you to keep track of your luggage when it is out of sight. This pint-sized gadget is a great investment you won’t regret!

There are a bunch of different types of Tile trackers available, including the Tile Slim, Tile Mate, Tile Pro and Tile Sticker. Either purchase these nifty trackers individually or buy multiple in a pack. If you have multiple suitcases to track, a pack might be the best value for money.

Using a Tile tracker couldn’t be any easier and everything you need to get started is within the box. The instructional manual makes setting up your Tile a breeze and Tile has a great FAQ section and customer service team available on their website for any further questions you may have that we can’t help with!

There is no need to strategically place the Tile within your luggage, placing it anywhere inside when you’ve finished packing will work a treat. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, the Tile won’t affect the amount you can pack at all. Ensure the device is powered on and set up before your first trip and switching on your app and Bluetooth at home is good practice to get into to ensure it is working properly before you and your luggage depart.

You shouldn’t have any problems when passing through security with the Trakdot in your luggage but if you’re worried, purchasing a suitcase with a built-in TSA Lock will ensure security can safely open your suitcase to check without damaging the lock or case. If you already have a case you can choose to purchase an individual TSA lock that works the same way.

Remember though, follow the in-flight instructions and switch your cell to flight-mode and power down when required and only switch on your phone when permission is given.

Once you have landed you are able to track exactly where your luggage is on the app. If you find that it is not where it should be, have the airline follow it up so that your luggage gets back to you as soon as possible!
