A fantastic trip out for the whole family, the Redwoods Treewalk in Rotorua is high up on the list of activities you must try this year! An already world famous forest is made even more spectacular thanks to the birds eye view offered from your swing bridge perch high up in the 100 year old Redwood trees!

21 suspension bridges seem to float effortlessly between 22 majestic and beautiful trees. The Redwoods Treewalk starts off at 6m from the ground and inclines to an impressive 12m high and spans 553m of the Forest. You can really take your time and enjoy every angle, texture and smell this wonderful slice of nature has to offer.

The walk is scattered with informative plaques offering insightful facts and insiders knowledge about all you can see around you. A photographers paradise, rain or shine, the Redwoods Treewalk is an opportune moment to take a breath and capture that perfect photo and memory.

– We ventured out to the Redwoods Treewalk on a rainy summers day in mid-January, the fresh colours of the leaves and the deep natural reds of the tree bark really stood out. One of the bridges took us from one part of the forest to another and for a brief moment we were no longer covered by the canopy, never has rain felt so good and fresh! If the forecast is a little dimmer than you expected, don’t fret as this really is an activity that can be thoroughly enjoyed in the rain!
