Air NZ Domestic Baggage Allowance Chart

Are you a little lost in the world of domestic travel and the baggage allowance in place? Don’t threat! We have put together an easy read table that will simplify your choice!

Each carry-on piece must not exceed the total linear dimensions (length + width + height) of 118cm.

A small personal item must be able to be stored underneath the seat, this includes a handbag, duty free bag or small laptop sleeve.

Business Class, Premium Economy & connecting Business Class customers, Air New Zealand Elite, Gold and Star Alliance Gold customers are permitted to carry two pieces weighing a maximum combined total of 14kgs. The maximum one of these items can weigh is 10 kg.

Any piece of checked baggage that weighs over 23kg but under 32kg or exceeds the total linear dimensions (length+width+height) of 158cm (62″) will be subject to an overweight/oversize charge.

An infant or child is permitted to carry a car seat or stroller free of charge on any seat type. Medical equipment (2 wheelchairs maximum) can be carried free of charge by the person that needs them.

If travellers are on a domestic flight as part of an international ticket, the original international baggage allowance applies.
